If you’ve read my post, How I Made Extra Money Blogging In 2018 And How You Can In 2019 you’ll notice there is a lot to blogging! I’m taking the next few posts to go ahead and dive into the details that drive success in blogging.

The first thing I want to address is the importance of Pinterest! Pinterest from the very beginning is something you want to implement and understand. It’s tempting to think it’s affiliate marketing because that’s how so many people make money. But you MUST work backward from the money generated. When you create a Business Pinterest profile you have access to understanding how your pins are doing and how well your profile is performing.

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure for more info.

Business Pinterest Profile

Ultimately, I want you to understand that just because your Business Pinterest profile is doing great does not mean that your blog is going to duplicate the same results. Instead, see your Pinterest profile as something that helps you assess how to attract your audience. It is very easy to correlate your Pinterest stats to your blog, but sometimes they are strikingly different. See!

Google Analytics: 19,715 pageviews

Pinterest Analytics: 612,734 average monthly viewers

Notice both of these have great numbers, but Pinterest mostly assess who is visiting my Pinterest page, but that doesn’t always mean the same for your blog. You want to use Pinterest literally as a source that has the power to drive traffic to your blog. Once you understand and master this you can develop and expand into different social platforms to drive traffic to your blog.

By the way, this takes time. I started blogging in April and didn’t see this growth until Mid June and didn’t see real money until October. I did love seeing the growth of my blog which was a lot of why I kept pushing. Here’s the thing, the more page views you get to your blog, your ads can take off and generate a pretty solid passive income. Then this will allow you to create other avenues to generate income and products to sell your viewers and yes, you will post links to Pinterest to gain purchases on those, too.

Setting Up Your Business Pinterest Profile

You have one of two options to set up your Business Pinterest Account. You can take your personal account and convert it to a business account.

Or

You can create a brand new account for the business not including your personal pins. One article I read a long time ago suggested keeping the two separate because of the sole reason that if your blog gets bought out then you will have to sell everything affiliated with it, too. So goodbye personal pins and outfit inspiration.

My personal opinion on the matter is to create a separate account for your blog for the reason that you want to be able to be niche happy. You want to make sure your content makes sense for your viewers. If you’re a Home Decor blogger, it won’t make a lot of sense if one day you pinned a bunch of makeup tips.

Also, Pinterest is a search engine so the more you search for something the more the Pinterest home page will generate content off of your recent search not providing you enough content to share and be relevant to your niche.

How to Set Up Your Account for Rich Pins

A big part of being successful on Pinterest is being able to be able to be found. Of course, you can write the best content ever, but if you are not able to be found the world will never know what they are missing out on.

A Rich Pin is a Pinterest pin that enables you to add more information about the pin’s content. There are four types of pins: recipe, product, article, and app.

Recipe pins provide ingredients, cooking times, serving size, and description of the recipe.

Product pins provide active price, shop information, and availability.

Article pins provide author, publish date, and headline. Accompanied by an in-depth description of the article’s content.

App pin provides an install button and will open the option to download the app inside of Pinterest!

You want to set up your Rich Pins for your account because in the descriptions in this kind of pin you will able to amplify how many keywords you can add to your pins! Secondly, you will be able to be sorted to the top of Pinterest’s priority!

Follow this link over to Pinterest’s Rich Pin Set Up for a step-by-step guide to adding them to your account!

The more successful your rich pins, the more Pinterest begins to trust you.

The more Pinterest trust you, the more your content gets out there. The more your content is out there, the more your audience grows. The more your audience begins to grow, the more your page views go up. The more your page views go up, the more you get on ads. The more you get on ads, the more passive that income becomes. Then you gain on growth by applying products to your blog and your ball is rolling! Check out that backward to forward thinking!

Best Resource To Grow Your Pinterest Pageviews

Here you’re more than likely going to try to pull some stuff like me. You’ll believe that you’ll have all the knowledge you need to be successful without having to spend a dime. Ugh, I promise you I wished that I just swallowed my pride because I knew that not knowing anything about blogging meant I needed to consult with someone who did.

I wanted to be the person that wrote blog posts about creating financial success without having to spend a lot of money. Even then, I knew what my goals were and what needed to be done to do so.

I met Paul Scrivens. Well I haven’t met him, I’ve only joined his blogging community.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to commit to his blogging community. I took the advice of other bloggers and purchased his Pinterest eBook.

The Pinterest eBook peaked my Pinterest involvement which also peaked my page views! Not only did this change my blog, but I made my first affiliate sale because of this eBook ALONE!

The Next Step Forward

Due to the success of just using the eBook, I wanted to jump right in. The next month, I dove in and purchased a lifetime membership for the Billionaire Blog Club.

This blogging community changed my blog completely! It is currently called Dare To Conquer and it truly has made all the difference for me. I have made over $400 from being apart of this community.

When I made the purchase to the community I only paid $397. Yes, only $397 because now the lifetime membership cost $1000. Yes, and it will be every bit of worth that cost. Paul Scrivens or Scrivs for short provides you with the steps, the exact steps, to create a blog that WILL be successful. The only reason why it wouldn’t be more successful is that of your own malfeasance.

Plain and simple.

Think of it like this, I could have kept pushing on the blog instead of slacking. I became the person that just stopped working and stopped seeing results. Easy. I could have made $600 more to buy another lifetime membership to the community in a short matter of time.

With that being said, stay tuned and I will go ahead and push harder on my blog just to prove this point. With more stats, charts, and raw posts about progress. I’ll stay motivated just to show you that there is money in this even when you have to spend money, too.

Want to keep tabs on my progress or remember this post for the future? Don’t forget to PIN IT!

Want to start blogging, but don't know how to get your content found. Using Pinterest has changed everything for my blog. Blogging cold not be done by me if it weren't for understanding Pinterest and all that it is capable of. Mastering Pinterest will not only drive your content, but it will also help improve the income you make in 2019. Use Pinterest for blogging this year and it will make all the difference for you blog.
